Tyla's planned Lagos concert, which was originally scheduled for December 22 as part of her A*POP World Tour, has been removed from the public tour schedule, sparking fresh conversations online.
The development comes just days after some Nigerians called for a boycott of the show over long-standing concerns about xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa. The online debate had gained momentum following the announcement of Tyla's Lagos stop, with some fans questioning whether the concert should go ahead.
Despite the change to the tour schedule, neither Tyla nor her management team has released an official statement confirming that the Lagos show has been cancelled or explaining why it was removed. As a result, fans have been left speculating about whether the date has been postponed, cancelled, or is simply being updated.
Interestingly, the South African dates in Cape Town and Johannesburg remain on the tour itinerary, while the Lagos stop is no longer listed. This has only added to the uncertainty surrounding the Nigerian leg of the tour.
For now, fans are waiting for an official update from Tyla's camp. Until then, the status of the Lagos concert remains unclear, with many hoping for clarification in the coming days.
