Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has celebrated controversial socialite Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on his birthday with a moving tribute and a N2 million cash gift. In a lengthy Instagram post, Dikeh described Bobrisky as her "brother," "anchor," and one of the most dependable figures in her life, presenting him with the N2 million cheque as "breakfast money" for his special day.
Reflecting on their strong bond, the actress recalled a challenging period in her life when Bobrisky proved his unwavering devotion. She revealed that when she informed him it was "time for war," he didn't hesitate or question her motives, simply asking, "How far are we going to fight?" Dikeh praised his rare loyalty, stating that having someone willing to stand by a friend without hesitation is irreplaceable.
The tribute, however, quickly sparked intense online debate due to Dikeh’s choice of language. Throughout her message, she repeatedly referred to Bobrisky using male pronouns and terms such as "man" and "brother," concluding her post with the bold declaration: "This is BOB MY FRIEND IN WHOM I AM PLEASED."
Social media users reacted swiftly, divided between the dynamics of their friendship and the gendered terminology used in the post. While some commenters focused on her description of Bobrisky as a "brother," others applauded Dikeh’s fierce loyalty to her friends. Bobrisky himself kept his response simple, commenting, "Thank you mama," while fans and observers continued to debate the post, highlighting everything from Bobrisky's supportive nature to prayers for his future.
