Tochi Wigwe, the eldest surviving daughter of the late Access Bank founder and former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, has officially tied the knot with investment executive Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu.
The couple celebrated their union in a private traditional wedding ceremony on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, surrounded by close family members, friends, and loved ones. The ceremony featured essential cultural rites, including the payment of the bride price, the signing of family documents, and the formal handover of Tochi to her new family.
The joyful occasion brings a moment of celebration for the family following the devastating loss of Tochi’s parents and younger brother. On February 9, 2024, her father, Herbert Wigwe, died alongside his wife, Chizoba, and their son, Chizi, in a tragic helicopter crash in California, United States.
Expressing deep emotional gratitude on social media following the wedding, Tochi's aunt celebrated the union by referencing Isaiah 61:3, writing "Beauty for ashes" as she reflected on the joy of the day after such profound heartbreak.
Tochi, who serves as a director of the Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe Foundation to preserve her father's humanitarian legacy, married into a prominent lineage. Her husband, Wilson Aikhomu, is a Lagos-based investment professional serving as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Zoya Admiralty.
Wilson is the son of the late Rear Admiral Joseph Omozuwa Aikhomu and the nephew of former Chief of General Staff, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu. Notably, he was also a close friend of Tochi’s late younger brother, Chizi, prior to his passing.
