Popular Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared her reaction after popular TikTok personalities Peller and Jarvis asked her to become the godmother of their unborn child during a recent livestream session.
The request came during a candid conversation between the Afrobeat star and the social media couple, who recently announced they are expecting their first child together following their wedding. Rather than immediately accepting the offer, Tiwa Savage revealed that she takes such roles seriously and would need to pray before making a final commitment.
Explaining her approach to major life choices, the singer emphasized the importance of seeking divine direction before stepping into key personal relationships or responsibilities. She stated that she prefers to consult God in all her endeavors to ensure her decisions align with her spiritual beliefs.
"Godmother, let’s think about it," Tiwa Savage said during the stream. "You know what, what I really should do is pray about it because I need to ask God His consent. You know, in everything, we have to go to God in everything we do. So you have to go to God and ask Him first. So, and if God says no, then I don’t know."
Meanwhile, the conversation surrounding the couple has continued to draw attention across social media. Following the exchange, Peller also shared his thoughts on intercultural relationships, encouraging Yoruba and Igbo individuals to look beyond their own ethnic groups when selecting life partners to experience the benefits of mixing cultural backgrounds.
