“The Mayor of Lagos” Just Got an Upgrade! Davido Gifts Mayorkun a Cybertruck

The Mayor of Lagos just got a serious upgrade!

Davido has once again shown love to his longtime friend and former signee Mayorkun, gifting the Afrobeats star a brand-new Tesla Cybertruck.

The surprise gift has quickly caught the attention of fans online, with many celebrating the sweet gesture between the two artists. Mayorkun, who is famously known as “The Mayor of Lagos,” has enjoyed a close relationship with Davido since joining the DMW family, and their bond has continued even as Mayorkun has grown into a successful solo artist.

The Cybertruck is definitely not your everyday gift. With its futuristic design and instantly recognisable look, the electric vehicle has become one of the most talked-about cars in recent years. So, naturally, seeing Mayorkun receive one from Davido has fans talking. The gift also adds another memorable chapter to the relationship between the two stars. Davido played an important role in Mayorkun's early career, signing him to DMW and helping introduce him to a wider audience. Mayorkun went on to build his own identity and become one of Nigeria's popular Afrobeats acts, scoring hits and earning his own loyal fan base.

Over the years, the pair have continued to show support for each other, making this latest gesture feel like another display of their friendship. For Mayorkun, it is certainly a major upgrade and a pretty unforgettable way to start a new chapter.

Fans have already been having fun with the moment, joking that the Mayor has officially received the kind of ride that matches his title. From Lagos streets to wherever the Cybertruck takes him next, Mayorkun is definitely riding in style. And honestly, if your friend is Davido, you might want to keep your gift expectations high.
