Nigeria's Super Falcons have officially received the rewards promised to them following their victorious 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign.
Each player was presented with a $100,000 cash reward and the keys to a three-bedroom apartment under the Renewed Hope Housing Estate, while members of the team's technical crew are also set to benefit from the government's reward package.
The presentation took place in Rabat, Morocco, just before the defending champions begin their 2026 WAFCON campaign against Malawi. The timing served as both a celebration of their previous success and a show of support as the team prepares for another title challenge.
The Super Falcons remain the most successful side in the history of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, and they now head into the tournament with their sights firmly set on an 11th continental title, further extending their dominance in African women's football.
The reward package fulfills a promise made after the team's triumph in 2025 and recognises the players' contribution to Nigerian football. It also highlights the growing recognition of women's football and the achievements of the Super Falcons on the continental stage.
With the celebrations behind them, the focus now shifts back to football as the Falcons begin another campaign carrying the hopes of millions of Nigerians. Their opening fixture against Malawi marks the first step in what they hope will be another historic run to the WAFCON trophy.
