Nigerian street-pop musician Seyi Vibez has quietly taken down a series of negative posts targeting celebrity chef Hilda Baci, following a stern legal warning from her legal team. The move comes shortly after Baci issued a formal letter demanding the immediate removal of the defamatory content and an explicit public apology, threatening swift court action if he failed to comply. While a recent check confirms that the singer cleared the offending posts from his social media pages, he has yet to issue the requested apology.
The clash erupted after Seyi Vibez dragged the Guinness World Record holder into a heated financial feud with his former record label, Dapper Music, over an alleged N1 billion in missing catalogue royalty funds. The street-pop artist was originally signed to Dapper Music—a prominent record label founded by Baci's partner, Damilola Akinwunmi—back in 2022. The professional relationship officially dissolved in September 2024 when the singer severed ties with the label, updating his bio to reflect his status as an independent artist before the dispute spiraled into public allegations.
