American rapper and music executive Sean "Diddy" Combs has had his expected federal prison release date moved forward by more than three weeks following a transfer to a new correctional facility in the United States. According to updated records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is now scheduled to be released on February 6,2028, adjusting his original release date of March 2, 2028.
The revision comes after Combs was moved from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. His time at the Fort Dix facility was reportedly marked by multiple disciplinary issues and allegations of misconduct behind bars.
During his stay at Fort Dix, Combs was previously placed in solitary confinement for violating prison rules, which allegedly included getting involved in fights and using unauthorized mobile phones. Reports also emerged indicating that the executive received special treatment from fellow inmates, allegedly paying other prisoners to cook his meals, give him massages, and manage his daily responsibilities.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence following his conviction in 2025 on two counts under the Mann Act, a federal law prohibiting the transportation of individuals across state lines for prostitution. While he was convicted on those charges, the jury acquitted him of the more severe charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
