Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, popular as Rema, has cleared the air regarding rumors of an ongoing feud between him and fellow music star Davido. Addressing the persistent speculation during a recent media appearance, the "Calm Down" hitmaker firmly dismissed claims of any animosity between them.
The topic arose during an interview with Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez, where the hosts questioned Rema about his current relationship with other major figures in the Afrobeats scene, specifically referencing past rumors of tension with Davido.
Rema wasted no time putting the claims to rest, attributing the narrative entirely to internet speculation. "That’s rumors. Omo, that is rumors ooo," he responded, emphasizing that he has maintained clean relationships across the industry since the beginning of his career. He added that he holds high regard for those who paved the way, stating, "From day one, I’ve never had problems with artistes. I’m saying I have so much respect for the OGs."
Reaffirming his commitment to his craft over industry drama, the singer made it clear that his focus remains entirely on his craft. "I don’t look for no one trouble. I just want to make good music, I don’t want to fight," he declared, officially putting an end to the long-standing rumors.
