Nigerian controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly challenged social media activist VeryDarkMan regarding a reported N200 million donation from Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy for a school project, demanding transparency on how the funds were utilized.
In a video shared online, Portable criticized the activist over murals and portraits painted on a wall at the project site, questioning why a portrait of footballer Adebayo was featured instead of Burna Boy, whom he credited as the source of the funds.
“Burna Boy give you money, wetin you use am do? NGO money, where the money dey?” Portable questioned in the footage, expressing skepticism over the allocation of the funds. He also took issue with self-portraits painted on the walls, asking why the activist would paint himself if the project was entirely financed by an external donor.
Portable escalated his claims by alleging that Burna Boy provided upwards of N200 million specifically designated for building a school, accusing the activist of mismanaging the funds.
“You are fighting for your pocket. Burna Boy give you N200 million plus, make you build school, you go build Ashewo house,” he alleged.
