The management team of popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has issued an official statement expressing gratitude to musician Zlatan Ibile and other key figures for their backing during his legal proceedings in the United Kingdom.
Poco Lee's legal troubles came to light following reports of his detention in August, which resulted in five sexual offence charges: two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. After spending several weeks in custody, the dancer was granted bail in September. His plea hearing is set for February 8, 2027, with the trial scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.
Addressing the situation in a statement released on Wednesday, September 16, Poco Lee’s team highlighted the vital role played behind the scenes by his industry peers, specifically highlighting Zlatan Ibile alongside previous supporters like Burna Boy and Rahman Jago.
"Hello Everyone, we would like to publicly acknowledge that Zlatan, along with others, has been extremely supportive and helpful through this matter," the statement read. "Their involvement, support, and effort have been vital to moving things forward. We deeply value their ongoing support and dedication, and we kindly request that everyone refrain from spreading negative narratives."
The management team also addressed unverified claims surrounding the court case, clarifying that allegations involving drink spiking were not part of the official charges. While online rumors suggested the complainant had withdrawn the case, official UK court proceedings remain active. Requesting that the public allow the judicial process to run its course without judgment, the team emphasized that allegations should not be treated as proof of guilt.
