Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, has stirred mixed reactions online following his bold stance on male sacrifice in romantic relationships. Appearing on a recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, the "Wotowoto Seasoning" crooner argued that men should be ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for their partners, describing any man unwilling to lay down his life for his woman as a "fool."
Anchoring his position on his Christian faith, the hip-hop artiste cited Biblical teachings regarding sacrificial love in marriage. He explained that scriptures explicitly instruct men to love their wives just as Jesus Christ loved the Church—a love that ultimately led to Christ laying down His life. According to Odumodublvck, this principle serves as his personal standard for how a man ought to protect and honor his partner.
Expanding on his perspective, the rapper shared his expectations regarding mortality and legacy within a family unit. Given the typical age gap in relationships, he noted that it makes practical sense for him to pass away before his partner. He emphasized that establishing trust with one's spouse ensures that family assets and legacy are properly passed down to the children without dispute.
"I am probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus’ name, because my wife is younger than me. Why should she die before me? It doesn’t make any sense," Odumodublvck stated. "And when I die, it is my wife who will take and distribute my wealth to my children so that there will be no issue. It is my wife that will continue my legacy."
The outspoken musician also addressed long-standing public perceptions, expressing frustration over critics who label him a misogynist. He argued that his deep commitment to supporting women and his willingness to make extreme personal sacrifices directly contradict those allegations, calling the tag an unfair mischaracterization of his character.
"The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say," he remarked. "I am willing to die for my girlfriend; does that seem like what a misogynist would do?"
