Nigerian Singer Omah Lay Hospitalized Following Injury During Rehearsals in Los Angeles

Popular Nigerian singer Omah Stanley Didia, professionally known as Omah Lay, was reportedly rushed to a hospital in the United States after sustaining a leg injury during a rehearsal session in Los Angeles, California.

The incident reportedly occurred while the Holy Ghost crooner was executing an acrobatic stunt in preparation for a performance. Visuals that quickly circulated online showed the artist lying on the floor with his left leg heavily wrapped as paramedics attended to him, while a separate video captured him being loaded onto a stretcher into a waiting ambulance.

Omah Lay, who is currently in the middle of his international Clarity of Mind world tour, has not yet publicly addressed the incident. At the time of reporting, neither the singer nor his management team had released an official statement regarding the severity of his condition or potential changes to his upcoming tour dates.

The health scare comes shortly after the Afrobeats star candidly discussed his personal struggles with smoking on an episode of the DJ Dan podcast. During the conversation, Omah Lay revealed that after numerous unsuccessful attempts to break the habit, he decided to stop placing intense pressure on himself, ultimately coming to terms with it as a current aspect of his lifestyle.
