Fast-rising Afrobeats singer and Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) signee, Logos Olori, has offered an inside look into the work ethic and motivation of his record label boss, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Wahala Podcast, Logos Olori expressed deep admiration for the megastar’s relentless drive toward his craft. Despite coming from a wealthy background and achieving massive global success, Davido continues to approach music with an intensity that surprises even those closest to him.
"Davido works like he doesn't have money," Logos Olori revealed during the interview. "I feel like the competition drives him. He is very passionate. I don't think he needs music money; he just does it for fun."
According to the signee, Davido's continuous push to remain at the top of the music industry stems from a combination of healthy competition with his peers and a pure, unadulterated passion for the art form rather than financial gain.
Reflecting on his journey into the DMW fold, Logos Olori shared how his path crossed with the music icon. He disclosed that Davido signed him to the label after he co-wrote the chart-topping global hit song "Unavailable".
Before making the leap to join DMW and pursue a full-time music career in Nigeria, Logos Olori noted that he was already living a comfortable life in Dubai, but ultimately chose to relocate to follow his musical aspirations.
