Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has spoken out in defense of women who aspire to get married, asserting that the desire to become a wife does not make a woman desperate, nor does it mean she lacks personal drive or purpose.
In a recent post shared on her official Instagram page, the actress advocated for women's autonomy, emphasizing that every woman should have the freedom to choose her own life path without facing societal judgment or criticism.
Olayode highlighted that respect should go both ways regardless of a woman's relationship status. She noted that while women who choose to remain single or have no interest in marriage deserve respect for their choices, those who actively desire marriage should equally be allowed to express that wish without being shamed or labeled.
Addressing common misconceptions about women's aspirations, the actress maintained that wanting a partner does not diminish a woman's individual worth or ambitions. She stressed that being enthusiastic about marriage and seeking a husband does not undermine a woman's career goals or personal achievements.
