Controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has fired back at critic Gehgeh, along with several online influencers and musicians, declaring that none of them are on his level and firmly dismissing their opinions.
The response came via a video published by VDM to address criticism from Gehgeh regarding his recent business venture involving the importation and sale of power-related equipment. Seizing the opportunity to address his broader critics, VDM called out fellow online personalities for using their platforms to promote online gambling, cryptocurrency, iTunes vouchers, and gift card schemes rather than speaking out on critical issues impacting everyday Nigerians.
He argued that many popular creators flaunt sudden wealth—returning from overseas trips with luxurious vehicles to popular acclaim—without leveraging their massive platforms to advocate for social change or demand accountability from public officials.
Defending his commercial enterprise, VDM explained that his recent trip to China was aimed at sourcing functional products designed to alleviate daily power struggles for everyday citizens. He directly challenged his vocal detractors to point to any instance where they actively backed his campaigns for better governance and systemic relief.
“All this bunch of clowns talking, I no rate una,” VDM declared, dismissing their criticisms as empty noise devoid of real impact.
Broadening his critique beyond social media personalities, the activist also brushed off any comparisons between his work and the influence of popular recording artists, adding, “All of them, both the musicians, I'm not their mates.”
