Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality Tacha Akide has finally cleared the air surrounding one of her most talked-about physical features—a chest tattoo that fans and media outlets long assumed was a tribute to Afrobeats star Davido.
Speaking during an appearance on the Thanks For Coming Podcast, the reality TV star revealed that the controversial ink was never an image of Davido, but rather the face of a child. Tacha attributed the years of public confusion to widespread misinformation, noting that once a false narrative gains traction, correcting it rarely changes the public's mind.
"The tattoo wasn’t Davido’s face, it was a kid’s face, but people thought it was Davido," Tacha explained during the interview. "It was misinformation. Even if I cleared the air, people would still run with it."
Addressing why she eventually decided to have the artwork covered up, the entrepreneur shared that her decision stemmed simply from personal growth and changing tastes over time. "I covered it because people grow," she added, emphasizing that moving on from past choices is a natural part of life.
Beyond addressing personal rumors, Tacha also offered her take on the current state of Nigerian entertainment, advising the organizers of Big Brother Naija to take a temporary break to revamp the show's format. She noted that the rise of social media has drastically shifted how audiences consume content, meaning television producers must develop fresh, innovative ideas to maintain viewer interest in an increasingly crowded digital landscape.
