Davido's Associate, Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo, Dies Following Cosmetic Surgery Complications in Thailand

Popular British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo, widely known as Ego and a close associate of Afrobeats star Davido, has passed away at the age of 43 following complications from a penis enlargement procedure. The tragic incident occurred in March 2026 while Ego was on a luxury vacation in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.

Details surrounding his untimely death emerged during an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court. According to findings reported by TMZ, the affluent influencer underwent a cosmetic procedure at an unnamed clinic in Thailand, where he was injected with 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Shortly after returning to his hotel room at a Bangkok Marriott, Ego began experiencing severe chest pain and collapsed twice before being rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital.

Medical staff were alerted to the recent filler injections by his wife, but Ego lost consciousness before doctors could administer a recommended CT scan. He was immediately moved to the intensive care unit after physicians determined he had suffered a pulmonary embolism—a life-threatening blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs. Despite medical personnel performing CPR for over 100 minutes, Ego passed away in the early hours of March 6.

A subsequent postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom revealed cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid filler used during the cosmetic enhancement. Coroner Jean Harkin officially ruled that the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism brought on directly by the procedure.

Known for displaying his lavish lifestyle to his large Instagram following, Ego was laid to rest in London in an elaborate ceremony featuring a gold coffin reported to be worth over $745,000. High-profile figures attended the funeral to pay their respects, including Davido, who described his friend's passing as "heavy" and admitted that the tragic events still "don't feel real."
