Popular Afrobeats star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has honored his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on what would have marked his seventh birthday.

Taking to his X account, the singer shared a poignant and heartwarming message reflecting the enduring love that he and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, hold for their late child. “LLI 🕊️ Happy birthday, son… Me and mommy miss and love you! Keep flying high,” he wrote.

Born on October 20, 2019, Ifeanyi tragically passed away at the age of three after drowning in a swimming pool at the family’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos, on October 31, 2022.

Despite the profound grief of their loss, the couple has continued to cherish Ifeanyi's memory while growing their family. Davido and Chioma welcomed a set of twins—a boy and a girl—in October 2023, who recently celebrated their third birthday.
