Davido has revealed why fans will not be hearing "Flex My Soul" on his upcoming album, Oriade, blaming the decision on his longtime associate, Israel DMW.
Speaking during a recent interview, the Afrobeats superstar explained that Israel repeatedly played the unreleased song on social media before its official release, disrupting the rollout plans. According to Davido, the constant previews eventually made him decide to shelve the record.
"It's not on Oriade by the way. Isreal spoilt my rollout for that song. Isreal was overplaying it so I said I wasn't dropping it again. He said he wouldn't post it again. E no pass two days, he appeared in the towel video playing it."
Davido's comments were made in a lighthearted manner, reflecting the close relationship he shares with Israel DMW, who has been part of the singer's inner circle for several years. The story drew laughs from fans, many of whom are familiar with Israel's humorous personality and frequent social media posts. Although "Flex My Soul" will no longer appear on Oriade, fans remain excited for the album, which has already generated significant anticipation ahead of its release. Davido has continued to share behind-the-scenes stories about the project, giving listeners a glimpse into the creative process behind one of the year's most anticipated Afrobeats albums.
