Popular comedian and skit maker Abdulgafar Ahmad, widely known as Cute Abiola, has drawn widespread admiration from fans and social media users after funding the aviation training of local drone maker Aliu Musa Damilola, transforming his lifelong dream into reality.
Cute Abiola shared a comprehensive YouTube documentary detailing Musa’s journey from building handmade remote-controlled aircraft to becoming a licensed commercial pilot. The documentary highlighted clips spanning from 2023, when the comedian first discovered Musa's talent, to 2026, when Musa officially completed his professional training and took Cute Abiola on a flight to showcase his skills.
Musa revealed that his passion for aviation began at a very young age, driving him to construct remote-controlled aircraft from scratch. That early determination caught the attention of Cute Abiola, who stepped in to sponsor his formal education and flight training.
The entertainer disclosed that he spent more than ₦40 million to cover Musa’s tuition, flight training, and accommodation expenses throughout the process. "We have spent more than 40 million for him to be in school and become a commercial pilot including accommodation," Cute Abiola stated.
Following the successful completion of Musa's flight training, Cute Abiola appealed to Nigerians to help raise an additional $30,000. The funds will go toward acquiring an aircraft type rating, a crucial qualification required for pilots to operate specific commercial aircraft models.
The generous act has generated widespread applause across social media platforms, with fans commending the comedian for using his wealth and platform to elevate young Nigerian talent and invest in a life-changing ambition.
