Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, widely known as AY, has issued a public apology to fans following the unexpected disruption of his comedy show in Cardiff, United Kingdom. The event was derailed due to an alleged payment conflict between the performers and the local event organisers.
In a statement released on social media, AY explained that he and his fellow artists were present at the venue but could not proceed with their scheduled performances because the organisers failed to fulfill their financial commitments.
The show, titled "AY Live: Single and Not Searching," faced extended delays that left many attendees frustrated. The situation eventually led numerous attendees to leave the venue before the performances could take place.
Expressing deep regret over the situation, AY acknowledged that ticket holders deserved proper organization and clear communication. He stressed that paying guests should never suffer due to backstage conflicts, emphasizing that the audience should not have been caught in the middle of a disagreement between the performers and the organisers.
Addressing the aftermath, the comedian called on the event organizers to resolve the issue swiftly, advocating for full clarity regarding ticket refunds for affected fans. His apology arrives as demands grow from disappointed attendees seeking accountability and prompt reimbursement for the cancelled experience.
