Controversial Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while serving time in custody at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison.
Rumors regarding the tragedy had been circulating online for days before being confirmed on Friday evening by Amira Agiye, the CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation. Speaking in a public broadcast, Agiye appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance on behalf of the remanded social media personality to help secure her release.
"It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son," Agiye stated. "My name is Amira Agiye. I’m here to appeal on behalf of Blessing CEO, who is currently in custody. I understand that people might have different opinions about her and the circumstances surrounding her case. And like everyone of us, she deserves compassion and an opportunity for redemption."
Agiye revealed that Blessing CEO requires ₦20 million to satisfy her court bail conditions, along with an additional ₦36 million to settle debts with the complainants in the case. She urged the public to show mercy and contribute toward the fund, emphasizing that Blessing's authorization had been granted for the appeal so she could attend to her deceased child, who remains in a mortuary.
In a voice recording played during the broadcast, a distraught Blessing CEO spoke about her tragic loss and expressed her hope of leaving detention to mourn her child. "My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life, and pay my respects to him," she said.
The media personality was remanded in connection with an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud trial. Although she was granted ₦20 million bail in July 2026—requiring two sureties in like sum with proof of deposits valued at ₦20 million each—she has remained in custody due to her inability to satisfy the stringent bail requirements.
