Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has, through his legal representatives, issued a pre-action legal notice to fellow rapper Odumodublvck over allegations of defamation, harassment, and related claims.
According to the letter, Blaqbonez's lawyers accuse Odumodublvck of making defamatory statements and threatening to publish further comments that they claim could damage the rapper's reputation. The notice demands that the statements be withdrawn and that a public apology and retraction be issued. In addition to the apology, the legal team is seeking ₦2 billion in general damages, along with other reliefs outlined in the notice.
The letter also gives Odumodublvck seven days to comply with the demands, warning that legal proceedings will be initiated if the matter is not resolved within the stipulated timeframe. The development has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with fans and industry observers closely following the dispute between the two artists. As of the time of writing, Odumodublvck has not publicly responded to the legal notice.
Should the parties fail to reach an amicable resolution, the matter could proceed to court, marking one of the most closely watched legal disputes in Nigeria's music industry this year.
