Ayra Starr Reveals Why She Cosplayed Rema for Halloween

Ayra Starr had a very stylish reason for choosing Rema as her Halloween costume last year.

Speaking about the decision, the Afrobeats star explained that it was actually her first time celebrating Halloween, and she wanted to do something different from the usual angel 

or fairy costumes.

According to Ayra, she decided to dress up as fellow Nigerian music star Rema, who she described as "one of the swaggiest people I know." The idea, however, was not entirely hers. She revealed that her manager came up with the concept, and she was happy to run with it. The costume quickly caught attention online, with fans enjoying the playful tribute to Rema and the effort Ayra Starr put into recreating his signature style.

For Ayra, it was a fun way to experience Halloween for the first time while also paying homage to an artist she clearly admires. And considering Rema's bold fashion choices and instantly recognisable aesthetic, he was definitely an interesting choice.

Who knows? Maybe Rema will return the favour and cosplay Ayra Starr next Halloween. Now, that would be a plot twist!
